The Classical
This is the "serious, heavy" program with works by guitar classics from three centuries. First in line is father Bach with one of his lute suits. Here excel in counterpoint as well as drama and poetry. After the severity of Bach, the elegance of the 99 years younger Spaniard Dionisio Aguado, whose music in these small pieces have an almost Italian singability. Genuine Italian of tricks offered in the next work which is a great sonata of with contemporary Aguado Paganini. In the twentieth century music was written in the classical style. Two who made this was Hilding Hallnäs and Manuel Ponce. The former's "Partita Amabile" was recorded by our own Per-Olov Johnsson in the dawn of time. The music is well worth to be reopened. The latter, the great composer of Mexico , wrote "Sonata Romantica" in memory of Franz Schubert. And certainly the spirit of Schubert is hovering over this melodious music, which forms the conclusion of the concert.
